About the Program

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Edinburgh will provide postgraduate on-campus (Master's) and online scholarships (Master's & Diplomas) to students from Africa with proven academic and leadership potential who have access to few educational opportunities. The scholarships are available for the 2027/28 academic year and applications open on 20th October 2026 at 10.00am BST. You have to complete the Applicant Declaration by 26th October 2026 5pm GMT.   

All eligible applicants who attended mandatory information sessions must have completed the first stage of the application – the Applicant Declaration and Postgraduate Eligibility Assessment by 26th October. The system will not permit new applications after 26th October 5pm. 

All who complete the Applicant Declaration and Postgraduate Eligibility assessment successfully have until 20th November 2026, 5pm GMT to submit their Main application.
