About the Program

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Edinburgh will provide postgraduate on-campus (Master's) and online scholarships (Master's & Diplomas) to students from Africa with proven academic and leadership potential who have access to few educational opportunities.       

The scholarships are available for the 2026/27 academic year and applications will open on 14th October 2025 at 10.00am BST. You have to register by 14th November 2025 5pm (UK Time) to apply. 

All applicants must have completed the first stage of the application – the Declaration and Eligibility Assessment by 14th November. The system will not permit new applications after  14th November 5pm.

All who completed the first stage successfully  have until 21st November 2025, 5pm GMT to submit their Main application.
